Week 14 would normally be the time we are gearing up for a first-round battle. Due to the extended season, we find ourselves once again with teams battling for the last few playoffs spots. Let’s start with the teams that did not play around this year and have already secured a playoff spot.

This is where it gets interesting. We have six teams battling for the final four playoff spots. The standings tie breaker goes in order of winning percentage, head-to-head and total points. Based on the tie breaker rules. below is a look of how this should turn out at the end of week 14.
Shots Fired:
Jesse is 7-6. Win and you’re in. Lose and you will need RJ to lose. You own the tiebreaker over all the other teams battling for a playoff spot.
Shady:
Also sitting at 7-6. Win and you are in. Lose and you will need Luke, Jesse and RJ to lose. Since Jesse plays RJ this week, your chances are increasing.
Who Dat Nation:
Chris is in an interesting situation. Chris holds the tie breaker over Mark, RJ. lost to Shady and is 1-1 against Luke this year. Chris did also lose to Jesse. If Chris loses, he will need Mark and RJ to lose as well and he is in.
My Ball Zach Ertz:
Ok Luke, I am sure you are following the trend here, a win is a must for you to have any chance at the playoffs. Luke holds the tie breaker over Mark and Matt but fell to Jesse. Luke and Chris split on the season so this will come down to points if they both end up with the same record after week 14.
The Eagle Empire:
The only team Mark holds the tie breaker over is RJ. With that said even with a win Mark would still be below Jesse, Shady and Chris even if they all lose. Mark would need Luke to lose, which would give him the head-to-head lead over RJ and A SHOT at the last seed.
The Steel Curtain:
RJ is in a unique situation. RJ needs Jesse and Shady to lose because he holds the tie breaker over both. RJ needs a win, and Mark to lose as well. let’s just say he needs a miracle.
Predictions:
Of the 6 teams battling for the final four playoff spots, I believe Mark and RJ will miss this year’s playoffs. Mark has scored a decent number of points on the year, but his head-to-head situation will be too much to overcome. I have not seen the resiliency from RJ this year that gives me the confidence he will be able to finish in the top 8.
