1. Chris Cummings: This one is simple. When you win as many championships as the GOAT, there is no debating the number one spot. There are only 4 owners in the league that have reached 11k career points and Chris is number two on that list. Chris also has a league leading 12 playoff wins to go along with one division title and one scoring title. Chris now has a league trophy named after him. Does the GOAT now have what it takes to win his own trophy in 2022?
2. Bill Smith: The original champ lands at number two. Speaking of two, Bill is sitting with two championships to his name. After winning his first championship, Bill had a 5-year span where a second championship eluded him. The author of the league began calling Bill the ancient champ. Bill responded in the greatest possible way by winning another championship in 2020. Bill is always a threat to raise the trophy at the end of the season. All eyes will be on Bill to see if he could capture championship number three this season.
3. Luke Griffin: Luke is the only owner without a championship that deserves to be ranked this high. Despite not having a championship to his name, Luke has his name written all over the record books. Luke is the first owner to hit fifty career wins and continues to lead the way with 62 total wins. Luke was also the first owner to have a week named after him. He has the most career points and is tied for the most division wins with three. The only thing missing from Luke’s illustrious career is a championship. Based on how Luke finished last season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he captures it here in 2022.
4. Mark Smith: Another guy with a championship that is sitting comfortably at number four. One thing that I’m sure is tougher than winning a championship, is having the ability run a league. Besides keeping us going for all these years, Mark was able to add a championship to his name. Mark is currently sitting third with the most career points scored. He is 47 points behind Chris. It will be interesting to see if Mark could move into that number two spot this season.
5. Ryan Griffin: This one is scary. Just like his brother Luke, Ryan is one championship away from walking on the GOAT line. I had previously mentioned Luke is tied for the most division titles with three, well Ryan is the person who also has three division titles. Even though Ryan is sitting here at #5, he is the only person in the league with two scoring titles. Ryan needs 1599 points this season to make it to the 10k club. With two scoring titles under his belt, 10k should not be an issue for Ryan this season.
6. Theron Blair: aka World Boss. T is smooth as silk; he always finds a way to make things happen. With one championship under his belt, T is primed to add a second this year. T is second in the league with 9 playoff wins. With another championship this year, T will be able to join the ranks of Chris and Bill as the only teams to have won multiple championships.
7. RJ: The Steel Curtain is in the building, or some of you may also know him as Mr. Resilient! RJ is another one of our champions. RJ had a rough 2017 season; however, he found a way to make it to the end and rule all. 2022 should be an interesting year for RJ. it would be fun to see another resilient run from RJ this year.
8. Jesse Deryke: The man who almost had it all last year. Jesse was 1.6 points away from winning his first championship. It was one of the most exciting finishes, even more exciting than the Bills and Chiefs playoffs game last year. Jesse may be sitting at number 8 right now, however, he surely has the tools to make it into the top 5 spot come next year.
9. Nate Smith: MVP, MVP, MVP. Nate did an amazing job last year. Nate has been in the league for three years. He managed a total of 8 combined wins in his first two years. Last year Nate finished with 10 wins and led the league total points to secure his first scoring title. Nate still has a long way to go, however last year was a great for Nate. Time to see if he could build on it for 2022.
10. Camryn Kozma: Cam, aka T’s sweet bitch. Cam is without question the most energetic owner in the league. No one shows their excitement as much as Cam. Cam loves the game, but the game hasn’t shown Cam much love. Cam has the heart which many others don’t have. Once your heart is in it, success will surely follow. Let’s see if Cam could improve from his 5 wins last season.
11. Matthew McCoy: Shady finds himself close to the bottom of the list. Shady has never had a winning season in the league. His best season was 7-7 last year. If we want to take any positive out of this, it’s the fact that his 7-7 record came in the 2021 office. My challenge to Shady for 2022 is to get at least 8 wins. Getting 8 wins next year will surely move Matt up the ladder.
12. Walt Rudy: Walt! I believe this was the guy who tried drafting a basketball player, or maybe it was a guy with a torn ACL. Regardless of which situation it was making these kinds of decisions will always land you at the bottom of the league. I believe we said Walt is going to fuck two trees this year, maybe that’s all he needs to make it over the hump.
13. Tyler Vann: I would like to start off by saying I’m happy Tyler is back. He did not have him for the past two seasons so I’m excited. Tyler will have to prove he still has what it takes to hang with the big boys in this league. Tyler seems excited to be back, so I am happy to see what he has instore for us this season.
14. Jason Mills: Jason has been in the league for 6 years and he has a measly 31 wins to his name. if you are not sure what that means, it simply translates to Jason loves being on the bottom and that is exactly where he finished last year. We all look forward to seeing Jason in pink this, our previous little princess.
