Luke Griffin Recap
That’s right folks, this is the Luke Griffin week. I know some of you finally got your first win this week and for some, you’re still waiting on for that day but don’t worry, I’m not going to call any names! (champ)
Now some of you may wonder, how do I get my own week in the best fantasy football league in existence? The answer is you don’t. Luke Griffin has proven this week should be reserved for him and no one else deserves this opportunity because as the great Ricky Bobby once said ” if you ain’t first you’re last”. This should be a testament to you all. Dedication and hard work do pay off. Luke was the first team in the history of the league to win 50 games and score 10,000 points.

Luke has completed 7 seasons. Of those 7, 2017 was the only year he had a losing season. 2017 was an anomaly for Luke. That year he went 5-8. When you’re a winner and something out of the ordinary happens, you make sure you find a way to rid the root cause and put a plan in place for it to never happen again. Well, Luke did exactly that. In 2018, Luke came back with an 11-win season. Luke is averaging 8 wins per season and is on track to hit or even surpass his average wins per season.
After week 4 of the 2021 season, Luke is still the league leader in wins and he currently sitting second with most points scored so far this year. The most points any team has scored in an individual game this year is 174. Do you want to guess who that number belongs to? If you guessed Luke, then you’re right. At this rate I don’t know if we will ever see anyone catching Luke in wins or points. Below are some of Luke’s highlights for his career

- 2014 – trip to the finals
- 2015 – tied for most wins in the league but lead the league with most points scored
- 2016 – lead the league once again with the most wins
- 2018 – tied the league record for the longest win streak with 7 and was also the league’s first MVP winner
- Most division titles in league history

Luke has put together an amazing resume during his tenure in the league. I am excited to see what awards and stats Luke is going to add here in 2021.
Congratulations to Luke for having week 4 of every season moving forward dedicated to him. Excellent job!!
