Thank you all for giving Mr. Powers a warm welcome to the league. I’ve decided to give Mark an official introduction to the league for three reasons. One, to let him know we have a website, two to let him know he has a chance to be the Ambassador’s favorite if he continues to work hard and three, to make Bill jealous.
For those of you who don’t know Mark, he’s an excellent fantasy manager. as a matter of fact, his fantasy skills are in his name, he has super fantasy “Powers”. Mark started his Ballers career in 2023. He had a very successful season, going 8-6 and while also securing his first scoring title. Mark made it to the semi-finals that year and came within 15 points away from making it to the Ballers Bowl.
Like any great fantasy player, Mark got back to the drawing board and came back with a vengeance in 2024. He finished the season with an 8-6 record but most importantly he won his first ever Baller’s championship.
As all great champions know, once you get a taste of winning one, you must go back for seconds, and that is exactly what Mark did. In 2025 Mark went back-to-back with the championships while scoring over 1,800 points that year. Interestingly enough, Mark has scored over 1800 points in every season he’s played to date. We have players who have been in the Legends league and have yet to score over 1,800 points. This just goes to show Mark probably belonged here from the start.
When the Commissioner and I realized we needed someone to fill a spot, the first name we both thought of was Mark. He is going to be a great addition to our league. His skills will push others to be better. I have a feeling he’s going to come in and have immediate success.
Mark, being a Ballers champion is one thing, but being a Legends champion is the most prestigious honor there is. The league is simple, perform well weekly and the Ambassador will speak highly of you. Play like shit and he will talk shit about you. The Ambassador picks a favorite every year. The year usually starts with the champion, but you have a chance to change that with your performance. Good Luck this year!
